Introduction
My client based in Birstall is looking for an experienced Stock/Order Processor with a Reach FLT license to join their very successful group of companies within the supply element of the business. You role will for you to be responsible for ensuring that all customers receive a world class service in relation to supply of products and services. This will be achieved by ensuring that company processes and procedures are followed in relation to processing sales order, stock management, goods in/out and despatch.

Key Responsibilities

  • To facilitate all detailed responsibilities in accordance with departmental processes and procedures
  • To ensure that all responsibilities are completed in line with departmental key performance indicators
  • Actively participate in departmental meetings contributing ideas relating to departmental continuous improvement

Sales Order Processing

  • Enter customer sales orders in accordance with specified requirements
  • Process Sales Order Despatches to ensure on time and in full to customers
  • Report on any defaults
  • Inform regional sales advisors of any variations to requested requirements

Purchase Order Processing

  • Raise Purchase Orders & report queries (e.g extended lead-times) immediately to relevant department (e.g Sales Advisors/Customer Services)
  • Liaise with suppliers on specification, delivery schedules, minimum orders and pricing information
  • Expedite POD’s where necessary

Stock Management

  • Action goods receiving ensuring that stock is put away in correct location
  • Monitor stock levels, assist in identifying re-order and place purchase orders for both non-stock and stock items are required
  • Participate in and supervisor stocktakes

Supplier Relationships

  • Monitor and report on supplier performance, participate in meetings with suppliers where necessary
  • Work with existing suppliers to improve performance or assist to identify alternative suppliers

Key Skills and Experience

  • Must have FLT Reach License
  • Minimum of 2 years supply chain experience
  • Excellent Microsoft office experience
  • Ideally have Sage 200 knowledge
