Administration & Office Support Job

Are you an Excel whizz, can manage your own workload and great administration skills? We’re keen to hear from you! Our client is looking for an efficient and capable individual to provide exceptional administrative support to the Contracting team in the management of procurement projects, enabling them to deliver a first-class service to our client and provide creative, cost-effective solutions for their toughest challenges. The role is remote, but the offices are based in Normanton or Sheffield (just next to Meadowhall) office work would only be required for meetings. Our client is known for supporting the delivery of procurement to meet customer specific needs. Working closely with team colleagues, your role will be to assist the designated category management and support procurement teams to obtain the maximum possible saving and efficiency benefits.

£22 to 28k- DOE


Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. (can be flexible)

Key Responsibilities


  • Contribute to the set up and achieving its objectives.
  • Support the Contracting team in the management of tenders and contract management, issuing contract notices, framework agreements and contract award notices, managing and responding to supplier queries, and logging tender responses and checking responses for compliance.
  • Liaise with the category teams, suppliers and other key stakeholders
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with all our internal and external customers.
  • Support with any ad-hoc work required

Personal Qualities

It is essential you know how to use Microsoft Excel to use VLOOKUP and Pivot tables to an advanced level as this is what you would be using day to day to look up the catalogue of what are client may need.



  • An awareness of contract and procurement law including public sector procurement directives and coming from a similar background
  • Excellent knowledge of customer relationship management.
  • A confident, articulate, and engaging manner.
  • A commercially driven and results focused attitude, and the ability to respond positively to pressure and demanding deadlines.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience of dealing with invoice and purchase order queries and a willingness to dig deep to get at the root cause of the issue.
  • Experience of having a busy and varied workload, with an ability to manage multiple tasks and achieve demanding deadlines.
  • Strong IT skills with excellent knowledge of Excel.
  • Experience of analysing large amounts of data, spotting trends and anomalies, with an exceptional eye for detail and accuracy.
  • The ability to work well independently and as part of a team and share knowledge supportively
