Juice is currently working with a well-established company who are recruiting for the Contracts Manager. You will be responsible for developing, co-ordinating and taking the lead on improvement initiatives and operational processes for the Client service, problem solving and taking decisions towards the achievement of service and Federation wide priorities and assisting with the development and implementation of operational plans to ensure maintains its good reputation and meets contract requirements. You will establish, maintain, and grow key relationships with external and internal stakeholders to build a positive business image and a positive staff culture. Working with the senior team to develop, facilitate, monitor, and evaluate service delivery, and adjusting provision to meet service demand and budget parameters. This role would fit someone who has managed a team before and worked closely with KPIS to achieve set targets

Key Responsibilities

• Permanent role 

• Pay: £32K per annum

• 30% uplift working on a Saturday and after 8pm 

  60% uplift working on a Sunday and Bank Holidays 

• Hours: Monday to Friday (working 1 in 4 weekends) – Flexibility is needed for the hours due to calls outs 

• Location:  Barnsley S70 (with travel across the borough to other service locations)

  • Responsible for the operational management of service area ensuring each area is running in harmony with the service demands
  • Ensure policies and procedures are upheld
  • Develop and implement service changes to respond to changes in demand, contracts, and policy
  • Delegate and prioritise any unexpected service demands and have good judgement skills
  • Develop strong relationships with staff, the GPS and all other stakeholders within the business
  • Identify and minimise risks which ensure to remain compliant
  • Represent the brand in a positive and professional manner
  • Assist and develop the culture of the innovation for change in the Primary Care trust within the team
  • Make Proposals to the board and management team for the development of services in line with strategic requirements of the business, providing reports as required and interpreting national guidance where appropriate
  • To support and promote patient access and the effective flow of patients through the required service

  • Educated to Degree level or proven experience of working in a similar environment
  • Ability to Drive and access to own transport
  • Demonstrable evidence of continuing professional development
  • Good level of IT skills
  • Good negotiating and influencing skills
  • Ability to remain trustworthy
  • Strong Desire to improve performance and make a difference
  • Solution focused
  • Ability to identify current costs and cost saving opportunities

  • Be able to demonstrate experience of co-ordinating projects/ and work in a demanding environment
  • Motivating a team and reviewing performance plans of individuals

  • The role requires exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • The right candidate will be required to communicate complex information which will at times be contentious in a manner which will enable the project to move forward either gaining consent or agreement to alternative action. At times, the subject matter will be controversial with particular regard to service redesign. Key working relationships are with:

  • The management of relationships will also entail:
  • Managing complaints in accordance with policies and procedures and to raise higher if needed
  • Working in collaboration with all staff and to remain well trained
  • Work with the senior staff to ensure that all staff undertake Induction and complete Statutory and Mandatory Training in accordance with business Policy
  • Regular one to ones which include quality appraisal and performance management
  • Advise and support administrative team where standard protocols do not apply
