Digital Marketing shows no signs of slowing down despite Brexit
Being recruitment specialists, here at Juice Personnel keeping up to date with industry news is important to us. Recent news has looked positive with regards to the increasing levels of recruitment in the Digital Marketing sector, reported in the IPA Bellwether. First published in 2000, the IPA Bellwether has become a leading guide to the state of the economy, using data obtained from a panel of 300 UK Marketing professionals.
The IPA Bellwether report reveals that 33% of companies surveyed are planning to increase staff numbers over the next three months, while only 15% expect to reduce employee numbers, and we anticipate that this predicted rise in recruitment will be good news for the Digital Marketing sector.
The figures obtained represent a net balance of 18.2% of companies that expect to see a rise in recruitment, which is significantly higher than the 14.4% expecting a rise in the preceding quarter, and is the highest figure since data was first collected a year ago.
Some uncertainty does remain around the outcome of Brexit, however, and the report’s author, Paul Smith, cites lack of clarity in the terms of Brexit in areas such as regulation and trade as being a cause for concern. He adds that political uncertainty is increasing reluctance to invest throughout the private sector and goes on to warn that optimism about future increases in recruitment in Digital Marketing is not matched throughout the wider ad industry.
Regardless of these current conditions, there is no denying that the marketing function is one of the most important and valuable disciplines in a business. This is becoming increasingly apparent and because of this, marketing professionals should continue to be in demand.
Here at Juice Personnel, we expect Yorkshire companies to benefit from the present optimism in the Digital Marketing sector, and will continue to support companies looking to recruit outstanding employees with our high standard of personal service.
