Kristian's Settling in Nicely...
How time flies! Kristian, our newest recruitment consultant, has been with us for 5 months! We caught up with him to see how he's finding life at Juice:
What have you enjoyed the most about working for Juice so far?
We’ve been on some interesting client visits so far which I’ve enjoyed! We recently got a grand tour of Production Park in South Kirkby, so we got to see all the props and stages that were made for the likes of Robbie Williams etc. A few weeks before, they were giving the same tour to Hugh Jackman of all people. Apparently I’m better looking though!
What’s Juice like to work for?
It's a brilliant company to work for, they really look after their staff and have fun whilst doing it!
What does your role entail day-to-day?
I work alongside Kelly in the Commercial department. Day-to-day I am either out and about speaking with businesses about their recruitment needs, or in the office finding candidates for those businesses and inviting them in for an interview. Or deciding what to have for lunch...
What do you think makes Juice different to other recruitment companies?
My recruitment background so far has seen me work for only large national agencies, so it was a completely different change for me to join an independent firm. Whilst I enjoyed my time working for those national agencies, I’m much preferring the ‘family feel’ of Juice. We’re an honest bunch of people that will tell you how it is! You could say we have a refreshing approach to recruitment.
Have there been any challenges?
Understanding Kieran's and Ian’s Barnsley accents has been my biggest challenge to date!
What has Juice got coming up that you’re looking forward to?
We’re one of the main sponsors at the Wakefield Hospice Annual Event this November, so I’m sure that will be a good night!
What do you do in your spare time?
My girlfriend and I had a son called Carter last year. He’s just turned 1, so most of my spare time is used making him happy, visiting play centres and swimming pools!
When I bag a pass for the weekend, you’ll find me with a pint of Strongbow down the local with my mates, or watching the football!
Keeping with the theme of recruitment, I think we put that onto CVs as ‘Family time and socialising with friends’!
What do you love about recruitment?
Mostly I think it’s the wide variety of people from all different walks of life that I get to meet on a daily basis. Whether that’s listening to clients stories about how they built their business from scratch, or candidates talking about what they’ve done in life – there’s always an interesting story!
We've hugely enjoyed having Kristian on board for the last 5 months. Here's to many more!
