The Role

  • To collate data submitted from regional offices and ensure its input to systems.
  • Liaise with other relevant departments across the departments, during the course of your day to day duties and responsibilities
  • Record and maintain the cashbook on a daily basis and reconcile to bank statements, and the computerised accounting system.
  • Processing third party payments through the bank accounts using Internet Banking system.
  • Monitor cash flow and processing various inter-company transfers via the Barclaycard system.
  • Posting journals on to the finance system
  • Archiving company records
  • Actively participate in the development of the Finance team.
  • Provide additional information to the Director of Finance / Finance Manager to enable the accurate forecasting of cash flow position.
  • Record and maintain information on subject matters that will be required for audit purposes, by use of spread sheets and/or word processing packages.
  • Record and reconcile various Petty Cash accounts.
  • To carry out at all times, your responsibilities with due regards to the clients aims and objectives to the highest possible standards
  • Provide backup in dealing with general office duties of CSS which may occasionally be necessary.
  • To undertake any other reasonable duties falling within the role of Accounts Assistant as identified by the Director of Finance and/or the Finance Manager.
  • To undertake, any reasonable travelling requirements, in order to fulfil the tasks and responsibilities of the role.

About You

  • Excellent IT skills using word, Excel & Outlook
  • Experience of cashbook and bank reconciliations
  • Experience of accounting software
  • Proven experience of working in an accounting environment
  • Ability to work to prescribed deadlines
  • Ability to demonstrate attention to detail skills
  • To be a good team player
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
