Looking back at 2019!
So as the first full working week of 2020 comes to an end, we decided to take a quick look back at all the amazing things that happened at Juice HQ in 2019. And what a year it was!
Kick starting the year off with our Employee of the Year award, we were delighted to announce that Brian Warrener had taken the accolade for 2018. Still working with us now, we're honoured to have such loyal and hardworking drivers who continuously go above and beyond expectations for us, and for our clients.
In February, we celebrated our 16th Birthday! Opening the doors to clients in Wakefield back in February 2003, we're so proud to be still here today and recognized as one of the leading recruitment businesses in Wakefield. And being a recognized, prominent business in the area we continued our sponsorship with Wakefield Trinity Rugby League team and their number 9 player Kyle Wood.
April saw huge changes for our Commercial team as we welcomed Kristian Johnson to the Juice Family. Settling in almost immediately, Kristian has been a great asset to the team and has developed some outstanding relationships with clients and made some superb placements during his time with us already. His first project in May was to account manage a brand new client which we had began working with; Safestyle UK Bradford. This is a high volume, temporary contract which often requires on site coordination and fast paced recruitment turnaround. With Kristian hitting the ground running, the contract has been a great success and he's proved to be a key asset to their contact centre recruitment process.
Juice Personnel has supported Wakefield Hospice for over 5 years now with 2019 being no different. As well as being an advocate, sponsoring their Sportsmans Dinners, Lynn also supported the ladies lunches this year and met with 2 of her idols - Jane McDonald and Judge Rinder.
July was such an exciting month for us here at Juice Personnel. Having been based in Wakefied city centre for 15 years, we made the decision to move to Silkwood Park at Junction 40. With free parking for clients, candidates and staff and easy access from all the main motorway networks, this has proved to be one of the best decisions we've made and it literally felt like home within days of moving in!
In August, our very own Chloe took the Employee of the Month award and September saw our highest volume of permanent vacancies being taken since we opened 16 years ago!
October and November were extremely busy months at the office as we started to ramp up on the temporary workers for the Xmas peak. But as well as ensuring our clients recruitment needs were fulfilled, we still managed to renew our 2020 sponsorship with Wakefield Trinity, collect over £250 cash and a shed loads of toys for Radio Aire's Cash4kids campaign, deliver over 50 advent calendars to temps and 200, 2020 calendars to clients.
Finally, and probably the most loveliest of ways to end our 2019, our longest reigning member of staff Ian Richardson (who works on our Logistics team) and his wife Cheryl welcomed their lovely little boy in to the world. What a perfect way to end the year.
It goes without saying that all of the above couldn't be achieved without the loyalty, the support and the commitment from our staff, our clients and our candidates and for this we are truly grateful. We love the work that we do and we love working with each and everyone of you.
Thank you again, from the bottom of our hearts and here's to an even better 2020! Happy New Year everyone.
Kelly and Lynn xx
